DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:

Due to the transfer of jurisdiction agreements for Iowa 105 on other portions of Iowa 105, Iowa 105 in Winnebago County became Unsigned Iowa 971 in 1993.

PROPOSAL / ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the old description of Iowa 105 in Winnebago County be deleted from the Primary Road System.

Lake Mills:

Beginning on Main Street at Lake Street (junction US 69); then east and northeast on Main Street to the east corporation line.

Beginning on the east corporation line of Lake Mills connecting with Main Street; then curving in a northeasterly direction through Section 1‑T99N‑R23W to a point approximately 600 feet east of the W ¼ Corner Section 1‑T99N‑R23W; then east following substantially the center section line of Section 1‑T99N‑R23W to the Winnebago‑Worth County line at a point near the E ¼ Corner Section 1‑T99N‑R23W Winnebago County (W ¼ Corner Section 6‑T99N‑R22W Worth County).

Iowa 105 begins at a point in Lake Mills, and travels generally easterly to the Winnebago‑Worth County line.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 105 in Winnebago County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 105 in Winnebago County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 105 and its extension in Winnebago County as follows:

Lake Mills:

Beginning on an unnamed street at Lake Street (junction US 69); thence easterly and northeasterly to the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning on the east corporation line of the City of Lake Mills connecting with an unnamed street; thence curving in a northeasterly direction through Section 1‑T99N‑R23W to a point approximately 600 feet east of the W ¼ Corner Section 1‑T99N‑R23W; thence easterly following substantially the center section line of Section 1‑T99N‑R23W to the Winnebago‑Worth County line at a point near the E ¼ Corner Section 1‑T99N‑R23W, Winnebago County (W ¼ Corner Section 6‑T99N‑R22W, Worth County).
